The St. Jerome's music ministry is now offering a variety of ways for parishioners to
fully respond to the Lord’s sacrificial Love poured out for us during the Mass.
Do you play a musical instrument or like to sing? Come offer your gifts to our parish music ministry!
Choir
St. Jerome’s Choir is honored to provide music for St. Jerome’s 10:30 am Sunday Mass. Drawing from the wealth of the Church’s artistic tradition, the choir sings a wide repertoire including Gregorian chant, renaissance polyphony and beautiful hymns. We strive to add to the reverence and beauty of the Holy Mass, and hope that we assist in creating an atmosphere of prayer and meditation that allows the congregation to participate in the wondrous act of God in the Gift of the Eucharist.
Folk Choir
Featuring four-part vocal harmonies and guitar/piano/bass instrumentation augmented by violin and occasional penny whistle and flute, the Folk Group leads worship music at the 8:30 Sunday Mass. Emphasizing a contemporary repertoire, primarily from the Gather 3 hymnal, the Folk Group's focus is to help facilitate worship at Mass through the congregation's active participation by singing all of the music at the liturgy. The Folk group rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:30 in the Sacristy. New members are always welcome, and reading music is not a requirement—only a good singing voice or instrumental ability and a heart for sharing your musical gift with God's family.
