St. Jerome’s will participate in Safe Haven for the third year, in February. Safe Haven is a temporary men’s shelter that operates from Thanksgiving to the Middle of March. Fifteen Churches and Congregations take turns hosting a dozen men during these winter months. Each church welcomes the men for a week from 6 pm to 7 am.
We will host our guests in the Gold Room from Sunday Evening, February 10 until the morning on February 17.
Volunteers can serve as chaperones during the night, prepare an evening hot meal, bagged lunches or a continental breakfast. We will need help in setting up the Gold Room and transporting the supplies to the next church. We will also be asking for supplies to help the men stay warm and safe.

The dignity and beauty of the human person comes from the fact of the incarnation of God in the person of Christ. With the whole Church, St. Jerome's parishioners have the privilege to recognize his image and likeness within the face of every person—from the moment of his or her conception until natural death.
St. Jerome's participates in a variety of ministries that support the weak and vulnerable persons in our midst, including the Gabriel Network and 40 Days for Life.
Christ recognizes our need for real food by giving himself to us in the Sacrament of the Eucharist as bread and wine. After being fed here first, St. Jerome parishioners can in turn feed those who crave both his nourishment and practical care.
Parishioners are encouraged to help with on-going efforts to feed our hungry neighbors.
Faithful citizenship is the responsibility of every St. Jerome's parishioner. Through prayer and reflection, we are invited to stand with the Risen Lord and his Church, as we approach the political process and the central human issues of our time and place.
