The Ladies of Charity, the world’s oldest faith-based volunteer group formed in 17th century France, was founded by St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac. They are recognized throughout the world as champions of the poor and underprivileged. The seeds sown by these two heroes of charity have grown into a worldwide ministry for social justice, with 420,000 members in 43 countries.
The St. Jerome Ladies of Charity would love to welcome new members to our group. Our service activities include supporting St. Ann’s (young mothers and their children), playing games at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, and coordinating Feed the Terps and the Thursday Café St. Jerome's Ladies of Charity provide all these opportunities and more! No minimum commitment necessary. Your participation is welcome, whether short or long term.
We meet 12pm-1pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month (September through May) in the Gold Room. To become a member of the Ladies of Charity or Junior Ladies of Charity, you may attend one of our meetings or contact Jen Auer at stjeromesloc@gmail.com.
