Friends of Mercy of St. Jerome's was founded in the fall of 2000.  Its broad purpose was to assist those in need of our parish and community with a focus on the sick and homebound, the elderly, and the bereaved.  This ministry functions more as a network rather than a meeting-based organization.  Friends of Mercy has a wide range of missions which include:

• Reaching out and offering services to people, including bringing Communion to them in their homes, visiting, calling to check in, providing rides, etc.,

• Assisting at funerals upon requests,

• Arranging the annual parish Memorial Mass held on the first Saturday of November, and

• Providing a team of eucharistic ministers to visit Crescent Cities Nursing Home on Sundays after the 8:30 a.m. Mass (with 4 teams - a team goes once a month).
