The St. Jerome Counseling program is designed to assist individuals, couples, families, and children (ages 3 and up) with a wide range of needs and concerns.
Operates on a sliding scale fee (based on household income), cost can range from $30-125 dollars per session. We never want cost to be a deterrent so if you have any concerns please feel free to ask your counselor for a session estimate. We are also able to provide a superbill receipt for insurance reimbursement upon request.

Rebecca Mullan is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Maryland. Rebecca first studied psychology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and went on to complete her Master in Clinical Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. Rebecca has worked with various ages, populations, and clinical issues for over seven years; first with the Pro Bono Counseling Project in Baltimore Maryland, and then providing in parish counseling for the Archdiocese of Washington in Montgomery County. Rebecca has special training and certification in Play Therapy, pornography addiction, and Family Systems.
Along with her counseling, Rebecca has engaged in various volunteer work including 10 years serving as Assistant Director for the DC branch of Pure Fashion (a Catholic high school formation program for girls),11 years of teaching religious formation for various ages, and 7 years as a Catholic speaker on topics such as marriage, grief, anxiety, chastity, pornography, and technology safety.
Madeleine graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Theology before earning a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. In her graduate work, Madeleine completed academic concentrations in both Crisis and Trauma Counseling and Pastoral Counseling. A faithful Catholic, Madeleine finds joy in being an instrument of God's healing and loves watching Him work. She has experience in treating anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, scrupulosity, eating disorders, and trauma, and she typically combines techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She will be counseling at the Rockville and Gaithersburg locations, and she is also available for telehealth."
A native of Colorado, Krista graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Krista is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in traumatology, at Divine Mercy University. Krista has spent the last ten years working with youth, vulnerable, and diverse populations in the non-profit sector, with an emphasis on mental health and those with special needs.
From 2020-23, Krista served as the Director of Character and Mentorship at the Youth Leadership Foundation in Washington D.C., where she utilized her skills in program management, leadership development, team building, virtue education and training, and curriculum development for K-8 and college aged students. Krista is passionate about helping others actualize their potential, holistic healing, the intersection of character, virtue, and leadership, and the study of human flourishing. Additionally, Krista has a background in international and domestic mission-based work and event coordination. In her free time, Krista enjoys spending time outdoors, is a lover of spontaneous adventures, good cooking, and chai tea! Krista currently resides near Washington D.C.
Father David has a bachelor’s degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas-Angelicum in Rome, Italy. He completed two additional years of studies toward his licentiate in Spiritual Theology. Father David is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University with an emphasis on trauma. Fr. David is also a member of the Missionaries of Charity Fathers, a community that Saint Teresa of Calcutta co-founded. Fr. David has been involved in the spiritual formation of seminarians for his community while assigned to Calcutta, India. He has been ordained for 19 years and has given retreats in many countries, including Italy, Egypt, Malta, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, and the Philippines. His retreats focus on Forgiveness Therapy and the Eucharist. He works with the marginalized and has experience working as a chaplain for prisoners, drug rehabilitation centers, and small Christian communities. He is currently assigned to the Washington, DC area.
Sarah studied Social Work and Communications at the Catholic University of America. Completing BSW and MSW degrees at the National Catholic School of Social Service continues to ground Sarah in theory and practice as she uses a holistic approach to therapy in serving individuals and couples. Anchored by faith, Sarah integrates her background of working in various settings - Crisis Pregnancy Support Organizations [Pregnancy Center, Adoption Agency, Maternity Home, & Long-term Support environments], College Student & Youth Ministry, K-12 Student Education and Mentorship - to further shape her work in walking with Clients to greater joy, peace, and thriving. Sarah’s primary areas of focus are anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, role/life adjustment, marriage preparation, couples counseling, healthy communication & attachment.
Young Jae graduated from Ave Maria University, with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Theology. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Young Jae lived in Vietnam and 8 States in America. He recently relocated to Maryland from Alabama, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. Before entering college, Young Jae did a mission year with the Regnum Christi Mission Corps., organizing and leading retreats, talks, camps, and conferences on spirituality, formation, and leadership for Catholic youth in 6 States. Throughout college, Young Jae was involved in recreating the school's psychology club as a means to provide information and networking sessions for students majoring in psychology, and forming a student leadership committee to create value for students at the intersection of the University's academic success program and career services department.
Young Jae served as an HR personnel in university, automobile headquarters, and engineering firm. He also interned at a partial hospitalization program at David Lawrence Center during his senior year, learning and being exposed to various therapeutic processes, such as equine therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and group therapy.
