Religious Education Program

The Religious Education program is provided for children in grades K through eight who are attending public and non-Catholic schools, or who are home-schooled. They are instructed about their Catholic faith on Monday evenings during the school year from 7:00 PM to 8:10 PM in the school building. The Religious Education Program provides assistance and support to parents in preparing children for the reception of the sacraments of Penance, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation, as well as ongoing Christian formation. Children ages 8 and older who are coming into the Church enter a RCIA program for children. This meets weekly during the year.

The High School Religious Education program provides continuing opportunities for growth in faith and commmunity service through parish your ministry activities.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

General inquiry sessions for people curious about the Catholic faith, doctrine and practice are held each Wednesday evening from September through May. This process (RCIA) is the usual way adults enter into the communion of the Catholic Church, whether coming from other Christian denominations or through baptism. RCIA is a gradual, progressive process in which people’s questions about the Catholic faith are answered and is shared among the participants. Those who subsequently choose to join the Catholic Church enter a formal period of study and prayer, held weekly through Lent.
