“Once their passion for the fullness and unity of truth has been awakened, young people will surely relish the discovery that the question of what they can know opens up the vast adventure of what they ought to do. Here they will experience 'in what' and 'in whom' it is possible to hope, and be inspired to contribute to society in a way that engenders hope in others."

Activities and Programs

CYO sports is one component of a parish's comprehensive youth ministry program that allows young people to grow in their relationship with God and come to better understand themselves and their Catholic faith. To register your child for St. Jerome parish CYO teams, visit here.

Extended Care

St. Jerome's Before and After School Care Program starts the second week of school. The center will be staffed by qualified adults and will operate daily from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. and from 3:10 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. It will, however, be closed on school holidays. The program will include some outdoor playtime (weather permitting), daily homework/study hour, a snack and activity period.

Students can enroll in either or both of the programs. Part-time before/after-school care is not available. If parents wish to use these services, the full weekly fee must be paid. Registration is to be made through the school office by August 15 each year, although in some cases students can enroll during the school year.

For additional information about Before & After Care registration, hours and fees, please fill out this form, or call the school office at 301-277-4568.

Volunteer Program

The St. Jerome School Parent Volunteer Program needs help each year to support the work of the school in various academic, extracurricular, and fundraising activities. The opportunities are virtually limitless; there are many jobs to be filled, and help is needed in filling gaps not only in established positions but also in offering suggestions for new areas. The school relies on the help of volunteers. The teachers, staff, parents, and especially students are grateful for the generous amount of volunteer time given each year. Please see the [Parent Handbook] for the Volunteer Guidelines.
